THE MEETING EXPERIENCE, EXPLAINED
Two ways to keep a useful record.
01
Save locally
Organisers and guests have the same supported local recording choices, without organiser approval. Audio meetings offer audio recording. Video meetings offer audio or video with audio.
Stop and download the file to your device. Local recording is not uploaded to Planzic and adds no recording or cloud-storage fee. Normal meeting charges still apply.
02
Let the organiser record in the cloud
The organiser controls cloud recording. Audio meetings offer cloud audio. Video meetings offer cloud audio or video + audio.
The organiser’s dashboard shows the recording after processing, with Download and Delete controls. A ready email directs the organiser to their signed-in dashboard.
03
Full-slot recording charges
For a 60-minute slot, cloud audio costs US$0.54 and cloud video + audio costs US$1.80 before combined meeting-total rounding.
Recording during any part of a slot incurs that whole slot’s recording charge. Stop/start in the same slot does not charge again. Recording during an extension follows that extension’s full-slot rule.
04
Thirty days included
Cloud recording includes 30 days of storage. Download or delete the file sooner when you wish. Planzic sends download and deletion reminders before expiry.
05
Keep it longer
Choose Keep to enable continuing 30-day storage renewals from your balance at US$0.10 per GB per period, based on actual file size. View the file size and storage charge before accepting.
Delete removes the recording and stops future storage renewals. If credit cannot cover a renewal, Planzic warns you before expiry; without a top-up, the recording is deleted at expiry.
06
Record responsibly
Before recording, tell participants and obtain any consent required for your situation. Keep downloaded copies appropriately and respect the information other people share.
A BETTER CONVERSATION STARTS EARLIER
Choose the record and the responsibility.
A local file and a cloud file have different destinations. Local recordings are downloaded to the participant’s device; organiser cloud recordings are processed for the private dashboard and have their own charge and storage period.
Cloud recording controls and its recording indicator are visible to the organiser only. Do not rely on an automatic indicator to tell every guest. Explain the recording and obtain any consent required for the conversation before it starts.
After downloading, look after the file yourself. Use the dashboard’s retention and deletion choices for cloud copies, and remember that ending the guest page does not delete the organiser’s history or a downloaded recording.
MAKE SPACE FOR THE PEOPLE
Keep the record with care.
Explain recording before starting and obtain any consent required. Cloud controls and the cloud indicator are visible to the organiser only. Downloaded files need responsible handling on the devices where they are kept.
