BEFORE THE WORK IS PUBLISHED

Discuss unpublished work with care.

Exchange research documents, coordinate collaborators and create private groups for discussion. Use verified file receipt to distinguish completed delivery from an unfinished transfer.

Verified receipt is different from reading or approval.

AT A GLANCE

Verified receipt is different from reading or approval.

01

Collaborate

Discuss drafts with accepted contacts.

02

Check capacity

File size and relay volume have separate limits.

03

Preserve records

Keep formal research in the chosen system.

THE STARTING POINT

Useful controls

Accepted-contact communication, local vault protection, device pairing/revocation, local search and verified delivery. Direct is preferred; permitted temporary Secure Relay expires within 12 hours or earlier after receipt.

A CLEAR NEXT STEP

Real-life example

A researcher shares a draft paper with two collaborators. Each recipient receives an encrypted file; group transfer accounting applies separately to each. Their discussion stays in locally retained conversations.

BEFORE THE FILE LEAVES

Discussion and research records are distinct.

A draft can be discussed with trusted collaborators, checking delivery outcomes for each intended recipient. That conversation helps people work together; it does not replace formal research records and backups.

Check capacity before transferring a large dataset. Maximum file size, recipient-transfer allowances and relay volume are separate limits. Direct uses no relay GB while completed transfers still follow their accounting rule.

For unpublished work, confirm who should receive it and retain the materials you need in your chosen research system. Recipient disclosure and device compromise remain possible.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER

Research files, records and responsibility.

Follow the controls, delivery rules and responsibilities that apply to scientists & researchers.

Usage and payment

One-to-one uses plan allowances. Unlimited group creation is free; every group message, file and call uses separate pay-as-you-go accounting. Sender pays messages/files; initiating caller pays calls; receivers pay nothing.

Responsibilities

Keep formal research records and backups in your chosen research systems. Plan limits apply to large data sets; no claim of unlimited transfer or permanent cloud storage. Device compromise and recipient disclosure remain possible.

YOUR CONVERSATION. YOUR NEXT STEP.

Discuss the next discovery with care.

Continue in Sornix to set up your identity, manage your devices and use the communication tools. Choose your contacts deliberately, protect local access and review paid usage before starting.
