Use admission, raise hand and presentation controls.
03
Payment
The initiating caller pays connected receivers’ usage.
THE STARTING POINT
One-to-one calls
Start voice or video from an accepted contact. Control your own microphone and camera. Set global communication defaults and individual contact exceptions. Camera and microphone permission are requested when needed.
A CLEAR NEXT STEP
Group conversations
Use host and co-host controls, waiting-room admission, raise hand and presentation permissions. Hosts may mute or remove a participant but cannot remotely activate their microphone or camera. Group creation is free; group voice and video usage is pay as you go.
A FORMAT FOR THE MOMENT
Choose the conversation before the format.
A voice call can be enough to settle a question. Video helps when seeing each other matters. In a group, agree who will present and how people will join. Host controls organize participation without turning on someone else’s microphone or camera.
The person initiating a group call pays for connected receiving participants, excluding themselves. An invitation alone is not connected usage. Review the tariff and participant multiplier in Sornix before beginning paid activity.
Local recording is a separate choice with consent responsibilities. It does not create an automatic transcript or a central archive of the discussion.
Follow the controls, delivery rules and responsibilities that apply to voice & video calls.
01
Who uses the allowance or pays?
The initiating caller uses the one-to-one plan allowance and pays for group calling. Receiving is free. Unanswered calls are not charged. Group usage counts connected receiving participants, excluding the initiating caller; switching between voice and video separates their counters.
02
Connected usage and rounding
Call usage is rounded upward according to the approved usage rule. For example, 1 minute 20 seconds becomes 2 minutes. In groups, count connected receiving participants rather than all members of the group. Review the applicable tariff and participant multiplier in Sornix before the paid action.
03
Screen sharing and recording
Share supported screens or windows using the group presentation controls. Optional local group-call recording requires visible notification and participant consent, with a persistent recording indicator and refusal handling. Recording does not include automatic transcription or a central recording archive.
04
Privacy you can understand
Calls use protected communication. Review Security for the protection verified for call media and the responsibilities of the people and devices in the conversation. Recording and screenshots can create copies outside the sender's control.
05
Connection help
Connection outcomes distinguish Busy, Declined, No answer and Unreachable. Check permissions and the displayed outcome before trying again. A failed connection does not change the required protection.
Continue in Sornix to set up your identity, manage your devices and use the communication tools. Choose your contacts deliberately, protect local access and review paid usage before starting.
