AT A GLANCE

Unlimited free creation.

01

Create freely

Unlimited group creation has no membership charge.

02

Send deliberately

Group communication has separate usage accounting.

03

Receive freely

The sender or initiating caller pays, not receivers.

THE STARTING POINT

Unlimited creation

Create and keep as many groups as you need. For example, create 10 groups with 10 members each, including yourself. Creating a group or keeping members in it does not create a usage charge.

A CLEAR NEXT STEP

Membership and roles

Use owner, administrator and member roles for group management. Group invitations require invitee acceptance, with administrator approval where enabled. Joining a group does not automatically make everyone personal contacts or authorize their devices. New members do not automatically receive old history.

FROM A GROUP TO A CONVERSATION

Separate a space from its activity.

Creating a group gives people a place to communicate. Sending a message, transferring a file and starting a call are the actions that create usage. Keeping a quiet group does not start a call charge.

Choose roles and posting controls around the purpose. Joining does not make every member a personal contact or automatically provide past history. Introduce the context directly when someone new arrives.

A receipt belongs to a recipient. Do not infer that everyone received a message from one acknowledgement. Review per-member delivery details and keep the sender or caller’s payment responsibility clear.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER

Membership, delivery and payment.

Follow the controls, delivery rules and responsibilities that apply to groups.

Useful group tools

Organize discussion with replies, threads, mentions, reactions, shared pins and polls. Use posting permissions, announcement mode and slow mode where appropriate. Moderation controls manage participation without promising remote erasure of copies already saved.

Delivery remains individual

Messages and files are delivered to each member's active device. Check delivery for each member individually. One acknowledgement does not mean everyone received the message. Text read receipts remain enabled; search stays local.

Group calls

Use voice or video with host/co-host, waiting-room admission, raise hand, camera controls and supported screen/window sharing. Schedule topics and invitees with RSVP and local reminders. A scheduled call is not itself charged usage or a reservation.

Simple payment responsibility

Sender pays group messages for each receiving recipient. Sender pays group files per recipient and relayed volume under the file accounting rule. Initiating caller pays connected receiving participants' rounded call usage, excluding themselves. Receivers pay nothing. One-to-one subscription allowances do not cover group usage.

Real-life example

Harry owns 10 groups. Only one starts a voice call, with Harry and three connected receivers. Group creation costs nothing; Harry pays the usage of those three receivers. Members in his other nine groups create no call charge. Sending one message successfully to nine receivers counts nine recipient deliveries.

Leave, archive or close

Leaving changes membership. Archiving hides a group locally. Closing stops new group activity and invitations. None of these remotely erases history already retained by others. Local deletion and Emergency Wipe are separate actions.
