PRIVATE WORDS, VISIBLE DELIVERY

Private words. Clear delivery.

End-to-end encrypted messages between trusted devices, with conversation history and search kept in your local vault.

Sent, received and read are three different outcomes.

AT A GLANCE

Sent, received and read are three different outcomes.

01

Sent

One grey tick: receipt is not yet confirmed.

02

Received

Two grey ticks: the active device received it.

03

Read

Two blue ticks: the text was actually read.

THE STARTING POINT

Connect before conversation

Personal messaging starts after the invitation has been accepted. An unaccepted invitation cannot send conversation content or ring the other person. Block a contact to stop communication; removing your local contact does not erase their history.

A CLEAR NEXT STEP

Local conversations and search

Search locally retained messages and saved contact names. Search one conversation or the content available on this device, with supported content-type and date filters. Results open the matching place in the conversation. Search does not upload your message text or queries.

FROM TRANSMISSION TO UNDERSTANDING

Follow the conversation, not an assumption.

Leaving your device, arriving at the recipient and being read are different outcomes. The delivery indicators make each stage visible. A relay upload, notification or search snippet alone does not prove actual reading.

For time-sensitive details, check the outcome and agree on a follow-up. Temporary offline text has a fixed lifetime. Retries do not extend it, and text that expires without authenticated receipt does not consume sender message units.

Keep names and search personal. Rename a contact locally for your own recognition, and search only the history retained on this device. That local label is separate from the other person’s profile.

THE DETAILS THAT MATTER

The details behind a clear message.

Follow the controls, delivery rules and responsibilities that apply to private messaging.

Know what happened

Clock: waiting to send. Progress: sending. One grey tick: sent, receipt not yet confirmed. Two grey ticks: received by the active recipient device. Two blue ticks: actually read. Retry arrow: failed or expired; tap for explanation and retry. Text read receipts are always enabled. A relay upload or search snippet alone does not mean someone received or read the message.

Temporary offline text

Encrypted offline text delivery is included in every plan for up to 12 hours, with earlier cleanup after authenticated receipt. Retries do not extend the original expiry. Failed, expired or unreceived text does not consume sender message units.

Your notification choices

Choose sound or silent notifications and show or hide previews globally or per contact. Silent notifications remain visible; message notifications and text read receipts cannot be disabled. Locked notifications conceal protected message content.

Personal names stay personal

Rename a contact locally without changing their profile. Later profile-name changes do not overwrite your saved name. The display name helps recognition; it is not proof of identity.

Usage

One-to-one messaging uses your plan allowance. Group messages use separate pay-as-you-go sender billing per recipient who receives the message. Receivers do not pay. Attached files follow file accounting; accompanying text counts separately.
