Getting started

Where can I use Arleyo?

Arleyo is available on web and Android. The caller signs in using Google or a one-time email code. A guest can join an invitation in a browser without installing an app.

How it works ↗
Does the person I invite need an account?

No receiver account is needed. The guest opens the link, sees the inviter, confirms their language and allows microphone access. If the Android app is installed, it may open the link; otherwise, the browser handles joining.

What do we need before starting a call?

An internet connection, microphone permission and a supported device and browser. The initiating account needs sufficient prepaid credit for the chosen paid mode. For translation, select each person’s language from the options for your call.

What controls are available during a call?

Mute, speaker, translation on/off and end-call controls let you manage the conversation. Visible connection status and reconnect behavior help you follow changes in the connection.

Translation & languages

How is Direct audio different from Translated audio?

Direct one-to-one audio carries speech without translation. Translated audio uses speech recognition, translation and spoken output so each person can hear the selected language. Replies are translated in the other direction.

Understand the translation process ↗
Which languages does Arleyo support?

Arleyo supports English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Dutch, Russian, Hindi and Japanese. Choose the languages for each person using the options available in your conversation mode. The supported-language list does not mean every combination is available in every mode.

Explore supported languages ↗
Will translation be instant or always correct?

No. Processing introduces delay and can make mistakes. Background noise, overlapping voices, names, numbers and specialist terms can affect recognition or translation. Pause between turns and confirm critical details. Use a qualified interpreter when high-stakes or specialist needs require one.

What does Voice Preserve do?

Voice Preserve offers voice personalisation intended to retain voice characteristics. It is not a guarantee of voice similarity, naturalness or translation quality.

Can I use translation when we are together in person?

Interpreter supports face-to-face conversations using one device. Check the required language pair and confirm important details, just as you would in a translated remote conversation.

Groups & meetings

Can I use audio and video with a group?

Group audio, video and group video offer Direct and Translated modes. Meetings also support screen sharing, scheduling and admission controls. Consult the relevant mode’s pricing before paid use.

Explore meetings ↗
How do translated audio groups take turns?

Translated audio groups use one active speaker at a time, with request-to-speak turn taking. Give the current speaker room to finish and allow time for translated speech to arrive.

What are participant minutes?

Participant minutes describe people multiplied by time. Two people for 60 minutes equals 120 participant minutes; five people for 24 minutes also equals 120. These examples explain usage, not a monetary quote. Group translation can be affected by speech and output languages.

Credit & pricing

Who pays for an invited call?

The initiating account funds the paid conversation using prepaid credit. Invited receivers do not need credit. Connected call usage is rounded up to minutes; unanswered calls are not charged.

What is the minimum top-up?

$9.90. Quick amounts are $9.90, $20, $50 and $100. Custom top-ups must be at least $9.90 and entered to two decimal places. Top-ups are one-off additions to your own balance, not gifts, cash balances or monthly subscriptions.

What are the confirmed audio package prices?

The one-hour Direct one-to-one audio package is $2.90 and the one-hour Translated package is $9.90. Confirmed packages run from one to ten hours with separately listed totals. Do not calculate larger packages by multiplying a one-hour price.

See the full audio package table ↗
When is credit added to my balance?

Credit is added only after a successful payment and only once for that payment. Activity and credit consumed can be reviewed in account Settings.

Can I apply an audio package price to video or a group?

No. The published one-to-one audio package table is not a video or group price quote. Consult mode pricing for video, groups, Interpreter, Voice Preserve or chat. Group translation rates may depend on speech and output languages.

Saving & sharing

Are live subtitles automatically saved?

No. Original and translated subtitles help during a call. Optional transcripts are separately charged and saved locally, with original text, translated text or both. Timestamps and speaker labels are used where reliable.

What do optional transcripts cost?

Translated one-to-one transcripts are $0.49 per hour; Direct one-to-one transcripts are $0.99 per hour. Direct group transcripts are $0.49 per participant hour with a $0.99 minimum. Translated group transcripts are $0.49 per meeting hour. Additional credit covers only enabled time; failed transcript generation is not charged.

Transcript processing & rates ↗
How is recording different?

Local recording saves supported media to your device, rather than a text transcript. It is a separate paid add-on at $0.49 per recorded hour, with a visible indicator and required consent. Enabling recording does not mean you have enabled transcription.

Does local saving mean everything is processed on my device?

No. Service processing may be involved. For a direct-call transcript, temporary audio is processed after the call and then deleted. You can locally export, share or delete a saved transcript. Local saving is not a server archive or automatic backup.

What does call history contain?

History is an activity and usage record, including credit consumed. It is not an automatically saved recording or transcript. Saving conversation content is a separate choice.

Why might a direct file transfer not work?

Direct Files is an encrypted-transport, one-to-one device-to-device transfer. Both people must be online and the receiver must accept. Network conditions can prevent the transfer; there is no server payload relay or archive.

Contacts, Teams & privacy

Are contacts a public directory or automatic phone import?

No. Contacts is a private collection. Save people manually or by choice from a call, invitation or profile. You can keep names, photos, preferred languages, optional details and notes, mark favourites, search, edit and remove entries. Saving does not imply automatic phone-book import or notification.

Is the Teams workspace free?

Workspace and member management cost $0 per month per member. Paid communication still consumes credit. Teams covers accounts, invitations, roles and shared credit with allowance controls. Usage and credit metadata analytics has no additional feature charge.

Explore Teams ↗
Can a workspace admin automatically read conversations?

No. Workspace admins are not automatically allowed access to private conversation content. Roles such as owner, admin, billing and member describe workspace responsibilities, not unlimited content access.

Is translated audio true end-to-end encrypted?

No. Server-translated audio involves service processing. Encrypted transport does not make that processing true end-to-end encryption. Translation processing is temporary by default, with no default audio archive or ordinary conversation-content logs. Account, billing and history metadata are separate.

Security & processing information ↗
Are Business, Enterprise or API packages included?

Those arrangements require separately approved specifications. The described features do not imply a standard enterprise package, SSO or promised integrations.
